Outside...watching over the hummer, HaVoK was sitting...waiting for either something to happen up here, or to hear something from down the dark tunnel.

He saw the sky darken...more rapidly than it should...it was a sign...for him...sent by his senders, times were getting darker all to quickly...both physicly, and symbolicly.

He heard the screams from down the tunnel...and immediately made haste.

Running through the tunnel, he unsheathed the sword on his back, and shouted ''Talasar elth thine'' which is ancient angelic for ''Talasar is here'', Talasar being his Angelic name.

He got through the tunnel...so see a large, stone serpant covering the room, some of him companions fighting it, and a moogle in the midst of it all.

Thinking quickly, he unsheathed the curve blade on his leg, cut his arm, and smeared his blood all over it. He then threw the sword into the chest of the snake. The sword penetrated the stone, and the snake made a deafening noise of pain.
''No evil may hinder me...and you are not the worst evil in this place!''

HaVoK, broadsword still in hand, ran at the serpant, and made a leap and stabbed. right next to where his curved blade still resided in the snakes chest.

He pulled both swords out of the beast, and the snake made worse noises than when the swords had entered.

''Did Gale have a change in fassion sence, or is this but a triffle of troubles yet to face'' HaVoK shouted to the others. across the room.

At last, he understood the reason he had been sent...there was evil on this quest beyond measure...he was just evening out the balance

((Just a bit of a heads up for all of you, me and the other GMs are all busy today and probally won't be on much. Therefore, we might not get far. However, if you guys keep posting, we should be able to get more done tomorrow. By then we're probally going to be moving on to the next chapter. So don't worry, we didn't suddenly lose intrest.))

The Serpent was beginning to grow afraid now. Not only had the winged one attacked him, but it seems as though the first intruder was recovering. Deciding that defense is the best tactic, he planned to use his newfound strength to bury into the ground. However, it was suddenly attacked by another intruder and a dragon. Suprised and angered by the surpise attack. The Serpent thrashed even more violenly then before. After managing to get Rikali to let go, it burrows into the platform bellow. The ground splits and shakes violently. Parts of the platform starts to collapse, making this particular area of the shrine smaller. At this rate, the the shrine would cave in before the serpent was slain.

Rikali screeches in protest and lets go, not being fond of underground. As the ground shakes, she screams. "This whole place is going to collaspe!"

Riki ignores the dragon and slashes at the snake, venting her rage on it.

At the tremors, HaVoK smiles

He looks at the scatered group, hoping that they're all ok after the fight. Only then, does he realise that One isn't here. He looks around, and Jenkin too is gone. Taking on Gale alone perhaps? He runs into the center of the room, where the snake left a large hole. HaVoK jumped down

''Guess this guy is too dangerous to just dissapear on us.''

He runs through the newly formed tunnel...hunting the large stone serpant.

*In this medatative dream-state, Kadino finally has time to think*

Yes... Another place entirely. The cave was a trick, my wolfen friend the bait. I must return immediately, but I cannot abandon my purpose here. The bait is too much for me to refuse, yet I am pulled toward home. There is also the matter of these people, who seem to become more of my trouble than of my aid by the second, and yet I feel that there is some place that I must assume with them for the time being.


I will finish this, and I must hurry! The rest will do me good, in fact it already has in part.

I will also let them keep the sword until I return. The magic that holds the soul is not of this world, and must return to mine to live in harmony. Hah, woe be it to he who holds the sword when it unsheathes its bindings.

One nods to Jekin, he stops forward, sending another shot at Gale. "Jekin, go around the side." He throws his staff into the ground, sending a small earthquake in Gale's direction, to once again distract him.

Turning from One, Gale releases a barrage of energy orbs toward Jekin. Who blocks with his axe. Eventually the force is two much, and he is thrown backwards. Gale turns to One. "What? Not as determined to "save the world" was your companions?" Gale holds out his hand, which glows with energy.

Jekin slowly rises and shakes his head. "Gah, than-Move!" Jekin dives forward to avoid the blast. He rises and slashes upward with his axe. Gale tilts backwards to keep the blade from catching his chin, and barely escapes with a knick on his chin. A mix between and scowl and a smirk forms on his face. "Wrong move, goodbye Jekin." Gale spins and slashes with Sin. The blade rips into Jekin's stomach and he keals(sp?) over. As Gale faces Jekin again, he raises Sin over his head and strikes downward. Sin smashes into the back of Jekin's skull, and sends a splatter of blood and bone outward. Gale removes slides Sin out and kicks Jekin in the face. The fallen Abbis is throw backward into a wall, leaving a streak of blood on it as he slumps to the floor. His lifeless right eye stares forward, he was dead as soon as Sin had made contact. Gale eyes his brother and sends a second blast of energy towards his stomach, knocking him into the nearby wall as well. Deciding that he has defeated his foes, Gale walks over to the pedestal that holds the so called 'Key of Hell.' Gale takes the crystal like stone from pedestal. Examing the soft red glow of it's core.

Meanwhile, the guardian who Gale had defeated earlier seems to have regained at least some of his strength and looks up at the warlock. "I don't know what foolish ends you intend to use that for, but you have no idea what that stone is capable of!"

Gale smiles and tosses the stone into the air. "Wrong. I know exactly what power this this holds. I'm breaking down the walls to make the whole world one, and then I shall end this...meaningless existance known as life. All things must come to an end. Good and evil, life and death. Nothingness is the only solution to these eternal conflicts, and the only cure to the corruption that the world has come accustomed to. There is no redemption. There is no forgiveness. There is only....the end." Sin morphs and seems to 'swallow' the key into itself. The sword reform, the stone now apart of it.

One gets knocked back, crashing into the wall. He was winded for a second or so. He looks up, already planning his next attack, but he stops as soon as he sees Jekin, blood running down his front. "H-he's dead? Jekin? Jekin!?" He looks up at Gale, who seems to not care that he killed someone that used to be close to him. One then shifts his gaze to Lara, who is still knocked out on the floor. "You bastard! You killed him!" As he said this, a thought crossed his mind, One could have saved Jekin, but he didn't fight as hard with Gale as he was capable of. "Y-you ****in' bastard! You killed him! Jekin's dead!" His voice dropped to a near whisper, as he repeated it to himself. "He's. . Jekin. . . . he's . . . dead. . .

Gale shrugs at One. "All life must end eventually, it was unfortunate that Jekin's end had to come when there was time before this world's destruction. Alas, he stood in my way." Gale begins examing the door that has sealed them in, contemplating how to open it. "I shall let you three live. Though I suggest you don't try anything while I'm turning my back to you. Otherwise Jekin won't be the only corpse here."

*Noticing a little of the events taking place, Kadino realizes the extent of power being struggled for*

Great, either this man is readying to wage a small interplanar war or preparing to destroy this entire world. What a time to wind up in such a situation, and I assume that is why this place was chosen to be my trap... or perhaps that is only part of it. One of them must be aligned against me, or there is some other sort of spy here. One does not let one's ventures go unwatched.

Either way, I cannot tell what I will have to decide. I hope that my path leads through the betterment of these people's situation, but who can know.

*Sits in a barely-less-than disdainful silence, only a few meters away from Gale*

The Serpent let's out a cry of pain before falling backwards and crashing to the ground. At last, the beast is slain. Only a few moments later, the door to the inner shrine is blown open and thrown far on to the platform. Gale steps out, only to find that his exit was crawling with his foes. "....Well, this proves to be an interesting predicament."

The sun was beginning to set over the countryside, painting it a wash of orange and red. The afternoon's storm had refreshed the ground and cleansed the air, leaving the sky completely clear. Shadows of trees stretched and crawled across the foothills and faded into the growing gray of dusk. On a lonely country road amongst the hills, the party's Humvee sat parked and empty. A second truck of the same make--and, oddly enough, similiar battle damage--pulled alongside and fired its horn, to no reaction from the first vehicle. Fury sighs from behind the wheel of the new Humvee. "Damn." Too late, but he already knew that. He had gotten caught up back in redneck city. Who would have guessed one of those low-lifes had a machine gun on hand? His own weapon was propped up next to him, along with his now-infamous sword. He got out and slung his rifle over a shoulder and ran the sheathed sword through his belt. It didn't take much to notice all the recent rainfall had made the rural soil soft, and it held several sets of footprints that headed down a dirt path. Armed again with a direction, Fury hops back in his Humvee and guns it down the path. Within moments a farm house and barn comes into view. He fishtails the truck into a stop before the house and jumps out to find the cellar door between the two buildings was wide open. With the clicks on the flashlight on his rifle and heads into the cellar.

Fury enters the shrine to find the group and a great deal of debris scattered everywhere... And One, Lara, and Jekin are all missing. Worse yet, Gale is standing right in the doorway across the shrine, with what can only be what that came here to stop him from getting.

HaVoK clambered out of the tunnel that had been created by the snake. He got onto his feet, and then looked around.

He sees the exit, along with the massive corpse of the snake, his companions scattered around the room...and then...he sees Gale.

HaVoK closes his eyes...facing towards Gale...and he starts to glow with a bright yellow light. Brighter and Brighter he becomes...truely everyone's representation of an Angel now shining through.

He opens his eyes...and looks at Gale...shining brighter than noon itself.

''So you are the one causing all this trouble...nice sword'' HaVoK smirks...feeling the power emminating from it.

He spins around and looks at the exit to the cavern. With a word spoken, a burst of energy pours out of him...hitting just above the enterance...making the rocks fall down on top of it...coving Gale's and their only visible escape route.

HaVoK turns back to Gale...still Shining.

''I don't know why you want to end exsistance...maybe it's meaningless...that's only for you though. These people have a meaningful existance, So they should be able to live it out...as for your own...if it's meaningless...let me help you end it''

HaVoK draws his broadsword once more from his back. still covered in his blood from his snake attacks. He stands in an attack possition, being one of the few with enough energy to stand as it is.

"You ****ing bastard, Gale Onarav!" Rikali shrieks, lips pulling back to reveal a mouth sparking with lightning. "You will pay for what you did to me!"

Riki stares at Gale. This was the man who raped her body. This was the man who had kidnapped her daughter. This is the man who had something to do with her daughter...something...Vengeance tingles in her palm. She calmly points at Gale. "You are Gale Onarav. I am Riki. You will die on the blade of this sword, Vengeance."

As Gale entered the area, Hayate had walked in as well, but had simply stood to the side, thoughts still nagging at him. The party had all entered battle stances but he just stood there, watching.

<But then, it wouldn't be me doing the killing, would it? But could you by stand and let this happen? I have before. Not on this scale. The principle remains. After all, isn't this what you really want? True. But you cannot allow this to happen. Just watch. I can decide later>

Gale seems little more than annoyed by the threats. "Your empty threats and vain bravery amuse me. However, I will be leaving. Only one of you has had to die so far, I'm giving you a chance to cut your losses and to help your friends behind me. Or..." Gale examines Sin, blood still fresh on it. It slowly glows a strange crimson and static fills the air. "I could find out what happens when the gates of Hell are flung open right now. So go ahead, attack me. You'll never kill me fast enough." Gale smiles, he's unsure of how they'll respond but he decides he's prepared for the worst.

Lightning erupts from the dragon's mouth. "Beat lightning speed," Rikali thinks. Just in case, she emits another four or five blasts to the most probable areas that Gale would move to.

Riki stares at him. Vengeance continues to tingle in her palm, but she ignores it. "Died...? Who died...?"

Leon walks over to where everyone else is with Carnage in hand. As soon as he walks in he sees Gale and is filled with great anger and is prepared to fight him even though he hears his words of warning. He was determined more than ever now that he has the key to Hades and also great power. "Long time no see Gale." "The last time we met I was weak and pitiful." "Now I have grown stronger and prepared to defeat you and harness your energy and the key to Hades!"

HaVoK stands tall...the yellow light emminating from his body.

'He didn't do it at the first chance he got...maybe there's still some hope left for this character' HaVoK thought.

He walks closer to Gale...

''Over the past thousands of years...our people have hated each other...now the war is ended, you are free, and only now you want the world to end?''

Slowly he keeps walking

''the killing, the threat of destroying the world, the carelessness you have for anything...you're allready dead...so why take the rest with you? Your life becomes what you make of it...you think the memory of some girl who dies is bad? Try the pain of eternal damnation. Get a grip...your mission is pointless...and one that will not be accompolished''

HaVoK brung his sword up...ready for defending or attacking...now only a few paces from Gale...

''It's time to face your problems instead of trying to wipe them away...and believe me....''

HaVoKs eye's glow gold along with his body

One slowly stands up, he looks to the stranger that was guarding the Key. He then looked towards Lara, he walks over to her and picks her up. "You, over there. . . . " Referring to the stranger. "Help me please, h-help me wake her up." He looks down to Lara. "Lara, Lara, w-wake up. Please, wake up. Lara. . . "

A crack rings out as Gale moves from the ground to the ceilling at a inhuman speed. He smashes his foot into the rock and sends chunks of it down, blocking the second blast that would of hit him. The first flies into the shrine and explodes. "Well that was certainly brilliant. You probally just killed the rest of your allies inside." Gale looks at Leon and rolls his eyes, he felt little more need to address him then to address anyone else. However, Havok was rather close, and would recive acknowledgement. "Why am I doing this? Do I seek vengence for all the ways I have been wronged? That sounds right. It is true that my motives might be selfish, but I'm not trying to hide the truth. I hate this world, and everything in it. I don't care about anyone else. I don't care if they still want to live. The fact of the matter is, I have been given the means to bring this existance to an end, and I fully intend on following through with my promise. I believe you say..."Treat others, as you would have them treat you." Life has treated me with death, and I shall treat it likewise." Gale flips over and lands on the ground. "I have been cursed with agony since I was born. I have the the RIGHT to destroy this world."

The guardian, after witnessing them try to stop the warlock who broke in, decides that these intruders are not evil and he begins to come over to help One. However, he is thrown back by Rikali's blast.

One sees the stranger get knocked back from one of the blasts that came from the shrine. He stills has Lara in his hands, she didn't wake up, so he put her around his left shoulder. He then walked over to Jekin, and turned him over. He was able to see the damage that Gale inflicted on him. One, without a word or change in expression, lifted him up and put him on his right shoulder. He then walked out the room, and into the shrine, where everybody could see him. He put both the bodies down. "T-the guardian is in there still. . . " As he says this, One sits down, as if his knees were too weak to hold him up anymore, ignoring that Gale is still in the room.

HaVoK charges at Gale...With a swift movemant he unsheaths his curved blade and throws it...aiming for Gales legs....

But...before He saw whether it impacted Gale as intended...HaVoK saw One enter the room...two bodies slung over him. Then as One collapsed...HaVoK broke off the attack. He changed his speed and direction and made for the three bodies.

He sees the life of One flowing through him...
''One...there is no time for rest...and never will there be till this is over...get up, We're trapped in a room with a killer Abbis.

He turns to Jekin...and sees that what energy there was in him, gone. All life expended. A man down, he ad only known him for a few days...and liked him none of them...but he'd lost one that was on his side...

He turned to Lara...she seemed distant...like alive but vary away.

A tear dripped from HaVoK's eye...it fell onto Lara's lip.

''Be strong...with time...and come back into the fight...i pray''

HaVoK looked up at Gale...eager to resume his atack.

Gale seems to be growing aggitated with the growing threat of his foes. "I grow weary of this. Let's see if my father's research was correct." Sin glows bright red with the power of the key and Gale slashes, with a great amount of effort, into the air. In a way similliar to Ranna, a circular portal swirls into existance. However, this was diffrent. Instead of using the key to open Hell, he used its power of dimensional manipulation to create a portal to a diffrent location. Most likely far away from here. "I hate to leave after your valiant attempts to stop me, but I have better things to do." He steps through and the portal closes behind him in but a few moments, leaving everyone else trapped in the shrine.

((Hate to run all the time, but Gale isn't gonna fight now (I also think we've been here long enough, even if we're not exactly stressed for time). But don't feel to ripped off, you'll all get your chance to take him on soon enough. ;) ))

I must say, that you many have done nothing in the way of helping myself despite my efforts. I percieve that your intentions are true, but the reality is simply that I cannot join in your peril. I must leave, for I have no time to help you survive. Moreover, you are all better than to be defeated by such, and I will likely see most of you again. This world has been extremely disturbing in its coincidences.

*Kadino, mentally holding some of the excess magics of Gale's portal in place, simply recalls their forces, and teleports through their magical currents-disappearing through the wall.*

Perhaps the other can aid me, though I can sense much pain. Pain is fear, fear is rage, rage is uncontrollable. At best an alliance would be one of mutual gain... the fool tyrant. It would cost much to acquire what I desire through his means!

*Kadino seethes through a wall... the previous exit of Gale's portal... and examines the man that lays in fervent thought on the other side.*

Would he strike at me if I made the first gesture? I hate dealing with those whose magic exceeds mine.

If dragons could blush, Rikali would resemble a cherry right now. Lightning inside a closed area like this was a fool's mistake. She moves over to One, Havok, Jekin, and Lara. Seeing that Jekin is dead, she closes her eyes in grief. "Jekin..."

Riki stares in disgust at where Gale disappeared to. She hears the dragon's grief-filled voice, but ignores it. She is too afarid to turn around, to see what happened.

Slowly, the guardian of the shrine crawls out of the room. Despite his wounds, he looks relatively ok. He looks very much like an old European knight, wearing silver armor and having a shield on his back. There is also a sword on his waist. He looks down and sighs. "I'm a rather pitiful guardian, I just didn't expect something like that.." The man seems to realize he's talking aloud and apologizes. "I'm sorry, I'm not use to vistors...yes and sorry about the snake too. I thought you where like that warlock." The man looks at Jekin and sighs loudly. "Another one lost...I hate my job." He seems to have a habit of rambling, but he manages to smile slightly. "My name is Hallon. After my...many...failures I just fill horrid over it. Please, let me help all of you to make up for all of this..."

((He's the same guy from Hyrule, by the way. He might seem a bit diffrent though.))
